Recap on the 2024 Sustainability Leaders Social

Before the networking session commenced, the group sat down to hear about the latest sustainability initiatives and programs from leaders at Carbonhound, Unity Health Toronto, Electric Vehicle Network and Longo’s, highlighting PPG’s support and impact on their climate action milestones.

In addition to the celebrating members’ and non-members’ sustainability endeavors, we are proud to say that the Sustainability Leaders Social was a near-zero-waste event. With the help of our venue staff at CSI and Vert Casse Croûte catering, we were able to eliminate plastic and food waste.

The Director of the Toronto Tool Library (TTL), Tim, gave us a tour of the TTL Makerspace and introduced attendees to their tool sharing program and trainings offered in this small but mighty space within the CSI building. Over the past 12 years, TTL has built a strong community that is committed to life-long learning and creating sustainable innovations in the heart of Toronto.
